[0.95.1a] Harmless Slipstreams

With apologies to Alex.

This "mod" makes player's fleet immune to slipstreams' effects (all of them: forced movement, fuel discount, speed boost). It is safe to enable and disable mid-run. Respawning makes you susceptible to slipstream's effects until you save or reload.

There is no external download link, the mod is small enough to attach to the post.

Immune how? Will they just appear visually but have no effect on any fleets? Does it disable slipstream ghosts?

Yes, they will still be there. They will not affect player's fleet in any way - no fuel discount, no speed boost, no forced movement. All other fleets are affected as usual. No, the mod does nothing about ghosts.

Edited the OP. After the respawn you'll become susceptible to slipstreams' effects once again. As to why - the mod is a hackjob made in a flash of frustration. I should probably turn this into a toggleable ability or something.

Making it a toggle would be amazing, sometimes I want to ride those slipstreams....

Mostly I dont and just get frustrated with them being in the way.

that could also be lore friendly.
imagine throwing a space anchor and to slow yourself down but ignore slipstreams and then retract it to go back to full speed after passing it or to ride it.

could it be
hull mod like 'slipstream repulse emitter'
and/or
trait/skill like 'slipstream evasion'

then to include the toggle ...

Just a friendly bump, as the patch that added slipstreams objectively made the game exponentially worse
