I personally really like that radiants require some thought and specialization to fight. Same with tesseracts. You can't just spam whatever you want, you have to actually plan/optimize. I also don't agree that the only way to beat them is with high mobility ships. You can win with low/mid tech by focusing on kinetics and missiles which are the strengths of those techs. Thaago had a pure low tech fleet that was killing ordos.

With low tech you can only win against Ordos wimmthat have poor equipment. If you go against a full ordo that has decent equipment (sabots, needlers, tachyon, etc...) The radiant with his escort will destroy half of your fleet.

Low tech perform the worst against Remnant that's an established fact by now.

IDK, Thaago has posted multiple screenshots and posts about his pure lowtech fleet killing tesseracts and full ordos with cores. I haven't tried to do it myself, so I'm not going to die on that hill, but I'm fairly certain that it's viable based on what he has said.

Yup, low tech can do just fine against them. It does pretty much require high end equipment: if my enforcers didn't have heavy needlers (and my non-officered ones HVDs) I'd be in trouble. And nearly every weapon on my Onslaught is kinetic (other than the missiles and TPCs). I also really need some carriers with interceptors to help deal with frigates, as lashers don't cut it.

I'm not claiming that low tech is better than high tech - its not. But its not as bad as people think and can handle endgame threats.

As others already mentioned low tech can handle the standard ordos.
It can't stack them like some of the stronger fleets and it was a massive pain trying to go up against tesseracts, but plain remnants aren't a problem.
I think later on Onslaughts are even some of the better anchors against radiants, buffed TPCs are extremely good and if you can get some omega Ms it's a long range shield suppression powerhouse.
Dominators do kinda suck though IMO, have to make do with Enforcer spam + a few Monitors/Kites/whatever you like.

The 1 thing I do dislike is SO on Brilliants, decentish cruisers running around at ~150 is a massive pain.
If you miss it when ordering a gangbang on a ship caught out of position next thing you know is a decent chunk of your fleet is on the other side of the map on a wild goose chase.

In the future lets not use the word 'cancer' in this way. The underlying criticism is a valid thing to express and is welcomed, but likening game mechanics to deadly diseases isn't ok. For further posts this will fall under the toxicity section of the forum rules, which can be found here: https://fractalsoftworks.com/forum/index.php?topic=2668.0

I know right  ;D

Personally I think they should make a thread specially dedicated to people who want to vent after getting their behinds handed to them by Radiants lol.
Poor misunderstood Big Blue Bois, they just want to give us all a warm hug. It's not their fault that our ships melt at quad tachyon lance temperature.

i been getting my ass kicked by em too. but i like it. without em there would be no end game challenge.

my biggest problem is i use starship legends so not only are [redacted] SIGNIFICANTLY stronger, but my ships also accumulate penalties for suffering hull damage. and i have yet to take out a fleet with a radiant without suffering some losses.

No more nerfs please. These are end game bosses we're talking about.

No, they're battleships for a player-hostile faction. Bosses don't come in swarms that respawn as long as their base is intact.
