Separate notification for speeding up time

You know, one day I noticed that the text at the top of the screen in campaign tells you some pretty useful info at times... And I noticed it only because I loaded the game and I didn't turn time acceleration yet. After that, it's always "speeding up the time" and nothing else. It would be nice if speeding up notification was moved someplace else, so it doesn't block other info from appearing.

It...it says what on top of the screen?
Yeah, no, yeah no, never seen anything other than the time thingy, especially because I change timescale spastically.
What kind of thing does it say up there?

For example, if you approach a planet who's patrols are chasing you you'll get a nice orange text notification at the top...unless you're speeding up the game, in which case the speeding up text completely replaces it. Kind of makes the patrol chasing notification completely useless, since, well, who
doesn't
play with time sped up in the core worlds?

Ooh, that's true, I have seen that when trying to go sneaky beaky into a planet or two now that I remember, the orange text that indicates 40 fast pickets are bout to chew your ass because you had the gall to take one of those smuggling missions in a bar.

.. Isn't this a mod feature? Shouldn't this feedback be on the mod's page? I don't use SpeedUp and I don't recall any sort of feature akin to it in vanilla, unless I've missed a button somewhere.

Holding shift to speed up time on the campaign map is a vanilla feature. SpeedUp adds a bunch of knobs, combat speed options, etc.

The suggestion makes sense, then. Blocking pertinent information really shouldn't occur, even if it might be a subtle way of 'punishing' players for not paying attention.
