Having your crew do something in they're free time will boost they're combat readiness and if a ship have a morale booster well to say it has some facilities or some build up like the one from Yuri Expedition where your morale goes up by adding built-in spa.

As much as I feel this game should try to avoid some Rimworld tropes, balancing some sort of morale meter against fuel and supply usage seems a reasonable and relevant request.  Plus, perfect reason to add mutiny events.  But maybe this is the last spinning plate that gets added?
