Hey, I'm familiar with the basics of the supply/demand system of colonies: any colony with the highest production can supply all lower demand/production planets. However, is there any economic value in going over that "max-demand" number? (EX: All consumers need at most 3 of "product", a producer can produce 5 of said "product"). Trying to figure out if I need certain colony items or if they just attract uneeded pathers .

Edit: I would also like to know if having a larger producer does anything to the "marketshare %".

Having bigger production increases your market share, which increases your income. If all you need is to satisfy your demands, then you might not need some items.
