[0.95a-RC15] Callisto Ship Broke, Quest Remain

It's just something I stumbled upon, I didn't interact or complete this quest before, so maybe I'm missing something obvious but:

I went into a mysterious sector and retrieved some sort of quest ship. This started a quest to bring the ship to a certain Callisto, but the ship broke en route via a lack of maintenance event, through storms and a lack of supplies. Upon arrival there is no next interaction with the NPC in question despite the yellow dot, seems like a dead end where there should be some sort of failure event or alternative.
