[0.95a-RC12] Game keeps crashing
« on: April 19, 2021, 09:45:01 PM »

As the title says, my game keeps crashing, usually about 10-15 minutes after starting the game. When the game crashes, my both of my screens freeze for awhile, the game dies, and then my screen flickers. There is no fatal error in the game log, but in the windows event log there is both a NVIDEA error event and a java error event tied to the game. I did not get this problem until I updated my graphics driver to the latest version, so that may have caused it. I have a NVIDEA GeForce 3070 running driver version 466.11. I have tried modifying the vmparams file variables -Xmsm and -XMXm to 8192 to see if increasing the amount of RAM would fix the issue, which it did not. Below is the event from the event viewer:

Faulting application name: java.exe, version: 7.0.790.15, time stamp: 0x552827be

Hi - sorry about the trouble! Yeah, this does look like a crash in the graphics driver. I'd suggest a clean reinstall of the driver, and, if that doesn't help, a rollback to the previous version.
