If I do the Galatian quests while I have T-Jump, will that skill be burned in eventually so that even if I reassign skills, I still have T-Jump?  Or will that be skipped and cannot burn T-Jump in.

By burning in, I mean if I respec, I keep T-Jump.  Currently, I have Navigation.  It would hurt a little that if I have Navigation all along, do all the quests, then respec for Sensors for some reason, I lose T-Jump despite having done the quests later because I had Navigation all along.

I just took a quest about a research base, and T-Jump was mentioned (though not given yet), and I have provided him data.

If you did the quest you should keep the ability even if you respec. There was a bug where you'd lose it if you had navigation skill when doing the quest, but it was fixed in RC-11.

I already have T-Jump from Navigation.  My question is will they give me T-Jump despite already knowing it from Navigation?  If so, that means I can forget Navigation and not lose T-Jump.

Yes. If you did the quest that awards transverse jump you will have that ability unlocked forever, regardless of which skills you had and how and when you swapped.
