Can guarantee that injector/SO are 0% necessary to get proper AI ships, never even used them (unless injector built-in).
Agressive officiers or airlock, naturally mobile ships (DD/CL for 9burn, then add 8burn CA and fast BB.
Mostly decent to good ranged weapons with the express intent to win the flux war, some LRPD/LMG + fighter coverage to have the AI behave correctly and hold the line.
-Directly assign 1-2 superior frigate to all but one point, which gets an assault order
-Wipe enemy frigates with your own as fast as possible, you NEED the flanks for your AI to feel safe
-With superior range and mobility, kills come in the form of suicidal frigates or DD
-Escort order is a trap, only use it to force your CVs and frigates to directly support your warship flanks and rear.
-Use normal retreat(NOT direct) to force disengage, best way to have them stop being braindead.
-Understand the difference between unspecified and direct elimination order, you can then kill any protruding vessel easily.
-Abuse full assault whenever you feel like pushing is advantageous, do it. You can cancel or press forward anytime.
-Combine all three, the enemy AI also gets afraid, with the right positioning you get to break enemy lines repeatedly.
And most important of all: CLEAN YOUR ORDERS!
Get rid of that old capture point, remove that outdated escort request, and immediately cancel that eliminate before your Hammerhead dives alone into the enemy formation!
As for station attack: If it can tank a salvo, it's good to go.
Direct eliminate for the tankiest ones, the others do what they want, and again use retreat whenever one is at risk.
Finally, take a shot every time your ships dump all their missiles into the invulnerable superstructure, wake-up in Skyrim.
