4K UI is borked.
« on: March 26, 2021, 07:30:11 PM »

Scales / positions of UI elements are way, way off, over here, at 3840x2160.  Game functions, but is effectively unplayable.  Unmodded run, etc.

Hi - a bit more info and a screenshot could be good to see. I suspect this is some kind of interaction with desktop scaling? Possibly - if this is windows - going into application properties and changing high dpi mode settings for the scaling to be controlled by the application might resolve it for you.

That is exactly what's up.

That said... there's another issue involved here.

I got it fixed... then dropped UI scaling from 200% to 100%.

This had a very interesting side-effect; it resulted in double the usual zoom-distance in the fleet-movement screen!

As delighted as I am to fiiiiiiiinally have a decent long-range view in fleet movement, it also made the UI so small it was basically unreadable.

Methinks maybe de-coupling these two things might be a Seriously Good Idea?  I mean, I absolutely loved being able to see far-enough ahead to actually plan my movements in Hyperspace, lol..

That's fair, but probably belongs in this thread:
