Also, there should be a hullmod to reduce the effects of low carrier CR on strikecraft.

There's also a mod that deals with the same values in game, though it doesn't care about CR specifically. If this isn't what you meant, could you elaborate?

Pretty sure this is already how it works, since strikecraft seem to inherit the carriers CR. Only difference is they dont naturally suffer from malfunctions

Given that suffering malfunctions is a huge part of CR drops....

At that point the carrier reinforcement rate is busted anyway, so there's really no need to punish the strikecraft even more.

good thing that mechanic is primarily to prevent kiting which a CRed out carrier cannot do
