Resolution not scaling?
« on: October 04, 2020, 01:20:29 PM »

I start starsector and the screen becomes a small square in the upper left of my screen. No matter what resolution I try. I do have a 4k display but doesn't give option.
Is there a way around this to play?

Hi - can you take a look in the troubleshooting thread, 4th item down? There's a number of things you can try that should resolve it.

I've tried setting different dpi and resolutions but nothing seems to work. I get a whole desktop resolution change to lower blurry like images. Then a small about 1/4th the size of my screen in the upper right of starsector.
Ok,so in a post on the second page it was said and I quote
I right clicked on the game icon, selected compatibility, then "change high dpi settings". I set the high dpi scaling override from 'application' to 'system (enhanced)' and it works fine now.
However I actually set it to application instead of system and I got it to work. Not sure why it's flip flopped or maybe just engaging the option does something to the game settings to activate resolution scaling.

I got it to work finally though thanks!
