The 14th Legion Battlecarrier - The Pilot

Hey all, just thought I'd make a quick post to introduce myself. Not have you thinking I'm spamming your boards for no particular reason.  :)

And just so you know, these forums were particularly useful when deciphering some of the more frustrating intricacies of this game.

Good video!

Of all the pros/cons you listed about the Legion, you didn't really talk about the Fighter compliment. That's the one thing that separates it from its cousin, the Onslaught, and can more than make up for its apparent lack of firepower. But you're right, the Legion is a jack-of-all-trades in an ocean of specialists.

Likewise, finding a Legion XIV (especially early in the game), isn't so much like hitting the jackpot but rather finding a working, but beat-up, 1985 Ferrari in a junk yard. On the one hand "It's a Ferrari! Vroom! Vroom!" but on the other..."boy this needs a lot of work, and it's...old" I like how you measure its worth not in its combat prowess but rather in the story it tells.

I remember finding an salvageable Paragon floating not far from the Core Worlds when I only had 2 destroyers in my fleet. Just crewing it would have bankrupted me but how do you turn it down? It also begged the question, how did it get here and why? It's great emergent story-telling.

Yeah Legions in my mind are well named as they are basically one ship fleets with their full fighter/bomber compliment.

Oh hey! I remember you. You're the fellow that made those videos about the fighters in Elite Dangerous. I liked those vids and am happy to see you making some of those for StarSector! Hope you enjoy yourself while making some of these ships for your showcases.
