new bug unlocked! beware cataphract pilots, "second in command" causes the Astell to crash whenever it docks mid fight, may be others\all but thats what i know so far

do you have a crash log? I just downloaded that mod and tested it in sim, no issues, so I can't even begin to guess if this is actually related to second in command or not, any extra info would be really helpful

i guess this can also serve as an 'i'm alive' post, I have been working on things/bugfixes in the background, hopefully i can post a more substantial update soon

I can confirm I've had no issues with SiC in multiple (partial) playthroughs so far. Definitely reproduce the crash and get a log, and note what officers you're using.

Also glad you're still here, shoi. :D One always does does worry a bit, these days.

it was saying value cant be 0 or some such when i tried to dock. ill be back when i make it happen again

yes, it was worst when i did BUT i also had issues with the "mothership" form magellan but BUT i think that was fast engine rendering now... its off and everything but astelle works so far

Hello, I love your mod, it's probably the #1 reason I'm still playing this game, thanks for your work!

I have a question regarding character skills. Do the skills that effect fighters, like fighter uplink effect the pilotable strikecraft as well? Or do they only receive buffs meant for frigates?

Player strikecraft receive frigate-related buffs. Under the hood, they count as frigates for all relevant stat modifiers.

An Arma-heavy fleet will probably feature a fair few carriers, so those fighter skills aren't useless :V but if you're looking to buff the strikecraft in your fleet proper, you want frigate skills. Wolfpack Tactics is nearly mandatory for an "Arma fleet".

Yeah the fighters from this mod are really really good aswell (plus, with the wingcom hullmod, a bunch of the strikecraft-frigates will have fighters of their own) so yeah combining strikecraft and frigate-related skills seems optimal for these guys.

What does it take to gain Rep with your pilots in Wingcom?
Slapped in AA during an ongoing save, Fiddled with their Callsigns and what not. Went through a couple of big battles, and they all stayed Neutral 0.
Oh and checking the Hull Mod, nothing changed there either.
Dunno if any of the mods I have might be interfering with how they work. But I might guess either AoTD Question of Loyalty or Ruthless Sector?
Cause I was commissioned. And Ruthless Sector fiddles with XP. But I have no idea how these might affect it.

Or am I just being impatient expecting to see something after slaughtering only like 5-6 big fleets.

Started a new save and eventually saw some movement on them so probably I'm just impatient.

I had Dawn pop up as part of the Luddic Church Colony Threat resolution in my recent playthrough, but I've yet to even talk to her this run. Seems like the check to make sure she's in your fleet for the event is misfiring somehow.
