« on: June 01, 2020, 05:16:11 AM »

Just wondering what y'all specs are running and if you have any recommendations?

Running with a laptop gtx 1650 8gb ram and i5 9300H

Played with mods that improve the graphics such as trailer moments, graphiclib and others i forgot

Runs 60fps constant with no issues

i3 4170, 16bg 1600 mhz RAM, 1060 6gb, SSD. Silky smooth 60 fps in vanilla, with mods drops to 20-30 in fighter-heavy combat.
My recommendation? Buy something better, CPU seems to be the bottleneck in my case.

Ryzen 5 3600, RTX 2060 6GB, 8GB RAM, and SSD also. Game runs perfectly until you put a billion mods in and then have 500 size battles with lots of fighters. Like I've had 30 or so mods and the game still worked fine, loading times still get annoyingly long even with an SSD. I'd say there comes a point with mods that no hardware could comfortably run everything super stable. Unless you plan of downloading every single mod and enabling it, you should be fine even with a half-decent PC. There's always an option of disabling some effects in GraphicsLib settings if the framerate goes too low.

i5-2500k (upgrade when zen3 is out)
amd 7970 Ghz 3gb(probably next is also amd)
16gb ram
windows

avrg 40-59 fps
sometimes fps go down to 12,
so I avoid fighters and big fights (even after big low fps fight the fps is low on planetscreen)

anyone with amd graphics card and good fps? ( I know the open_gl driver issue)

I definitely don't recommend an AMD card, my pretty good PC (Ryzen 7 3800x and Radeon 5700 XT) slows down to 25-30 FPS in full, fighter-heavy fights, which I feel like it really shouldn't. It has the same performance as my dad's Surface Pro! (Although the Surface starts chugging as soon as graphicslib is turned on, which has no effect on my PC's performance.)

Running a Ryzen 7 2700x, 32GB and an older r9 390 with no major issues with quite a lot of mods and all graphics libs enabled. Some huge fights can slow down but other than that it runs smooth at 1440p resolution.

I would avoid AMD GFX cards for 1 big reason: AMD GFX cards have completely TERRIBLE OpenGL driver support. Hell I've heard that they have full on DROPPED OGL support for their newer cards and are focused on VULKAN. This means that certain cards might not be able to run SS at reasonable FPS levels even when they can run the latest AAA games easily.

Thanks for all those who chimed in. I posted this last week before I decided on a PC upgrade.

Anyone know what the highest resolutions the game will run at? My new gaming monitor is WQHD and my old set up is WFHD.

Oops I guess I should mention the WQHD monitor is in the mail, and not here yet, hence me asking about resolutions haha.

Right now, 1920 X 1080 is pretty much your max "comfy" resolution that doesn't take special steps to use.
In the next update, SS will have UI scaling which will help with the issues it has with higher than 1080P resolutions

Just thought I'd drop back in... my computer upgrade arrived and the game runs at WQHD no problem. It surprisingly looks decent. Much better than expected. Not sure what wizardry is going on here lol. If anyone knows, feel free to explain it to me haha.

Next year I'll upgrade the processor and motherboard hopefully. My CPU is pretty old.
