TheKart guessed this happens because residual armour (for damage reduction) is completely replaced by IM1's 150 armour bonus. Is this a bug?

Adding some context here: First image in each series is no skill, second image is with IM1 on the target ship.

All 3 ships seem to be taking the same damage once the armor has been stripped, if they have IM1.

Hmm. Looking at the code, it's going to be whichever is higher - 5% of the ship's max armor (without the +150), or the modified effective armor rating at the point of impact (150 with IM, 0 otherwise). I'm still not 100% sure what I'm looking at as far as the pictures, but does this explain it?

Yes, thanks. I assumed 5% of armour and IM1's bonus would apply, but it is not so.
