I know it's a strange question but there is a way to have a faction only composed by female ? I have ever create a faction with only female portraits but it don't avoid the generation of male character and it cause a crash because the male character created have no portrait. Is there a solution to don't generate male in a faction ?

I would defer my opinion to the expertise of the modding community. Odds are that these portraits are catalogued under IDs, never regarding gender or even species (for those who like using synthetic characters such as androids).

I've look at this and I have understand that to have only female he have take the same portraits for male and female. There is another way to have only female faction ?

You can have a script change the gender of officers after they're generated.
I don't know if it's possible to reliably catch all cases though (the obvious ones being fleets and colonies the player interacts with, but there are also things like bounty fleets in the intel screen)

I'm reasonably sure you can define the character name lists (person_names.csv) for a faction to generate only female names, by not tagging any entries in column B with "m".
Then it would only generate female chars. using the defined female portraits.
This would only work for new games though, and then only with this specific mod/change in place.
