Drive Field Stablizer

So the Tug says that the effect of multiple fields are cumulative, but I have three tugs and they are still only adding +2 in total. Is it an outdated tooltip or is something wrong?

According to the game files, each tug should add +1 to your fleet's max burn. Are you running your fleet under Sustained Burn near or at 20 burn? I'm pretty sure the game caps your normal max burn speed at 20 (excluding hyperspace storm effects), so tugs would be cumulative only up to that point.

(Does Sustained Burn double the +1 bonus from each tug, or does the tug's bonus come after the doubling?)

Also, check what shows up in the hover-over tooltip on your burn speed while travelling. Hit F1 and it should list a breakdown of what's affecting your burn at any given time, including any bonus from tugs.

Huh. There is weirdness. I bought extra tugs, I know I did because I added hull mods onto the,. But they didn't work. And then then went somewhere I can't remember. So I bought new tugs, and they have worked.

Hmm - if you expand the burn level tooltip (with F1), it should tell you exactly what factors determine your burn level.

Burn speed formula is generally:
Your fleet Burn speed (slowest ship)
Then x2 for full burn,
Then +y for all your bonuses (Navigation gives +1 base and +1 during full burn)
Then multiplied by bad terrain penalties.

Don't know why it edited a post instead of making a new one, but It has fixed itself.
