I've had the game for a little while now and just out of the blue one day when I went to play my frame rate dropped way down to around 30 when in a busy system and generally slow everywhere else.  When I opened the task manager I noticed that my GPU was running at 0% so i'm assuming that it wasn't running on that and instead my integrated graphics (on a laptop).  tried going into settings and designating both starsector and java to high performance and upgraded my drivers but nothing seems to work.

Hey there, might I ask what GPU you have?
If it is NVIDIA, does java.exe show up in the "NVIDIA GPU Activity" system tray icon?

Have you tried disabling iGPU?
