Orks still in the works

A couple of frigates and a destroyer with vanilla weapons.   Orky ones yet to be made.
Still working on the tone of the middle one....seems a bit washed out.

Yeah middle one looks washed out for sure.

Okay maybe I'll start a new game and then just add the ships in via console commands

I'm sure with the amount of mods I use I'll end up restarting at some point.

Yeah gonna be a few weeks before the Orks get deployed. I have the rest of the Ork fleet mapped out. 
Then I'll still need an array of proper orky weapons...
Then I'll need to put them in a new system somewhere...

Also note: next update will require a new game, since I needed to redo some hullmod naming for future proofing purposes.

A brand new faction to play with will be worth a fresh start  :)

After multiple iterations of messing with the Scrapa frigate, I wasn't quite happy with the outcome of any of them.   I liked the silhouette but not much else.

So I rebuilt it again and decided to make it look like if a bunch of different plating from different ships was used.  I think I will make the rest of the fleet in this manner.  I think it reads better that it is a cobbled together creation then using just a overly dark rust type texture.





Also looks kinda gaudy...   Orky appropriate!   ;D

V.0.2.0 Update

Imperium reskin edition.

Bloodtrailkiller has stepped forward and generously donated a complete reskin set for the imperium ships.   See the OP for the new hotness.   Seriously,  you should go check them out.

Update is NOT save compatible due to some changes with the hullmods.

Some Orky ships and fighters are in the mix, although the ork faction is not ready proper yet.

The Ork Karrier?  Cruiser size.  Sprite is 200x300 pixels.

I made an account just to comment on this, orks should have very little symmetry in their ships and several should look like multiple ships stapled together.

New sprites look great!   The fronts and bacs especially -. Not sure how it could be adjusted but the "necks" feel a bit flat.  Overall looking good though!

the orc fighter names are inaccurate.
imo they should be called:
Fighta Bommer -> Fighta Bomba
Eavy Bommer -> Eavy Bomba
Grot Bommer -> Grot Bomba
Mega Bommer -> Big Boom
