The Hegemony Navy has been reinforced with eight new ship designs, including two troopships designed primarily for planetary assaults. Ship skins by
Scarface, originally from
Missing Ships, with additional assets by
PCCL,
King Alfonzo and
Vayra.
Features:Mule (A): Retrofitted and repainted for Hegemony auxiliary service, the Mule (A) has been given only minor upgrades, but still serves well as a combat freighter or convoy escort.

Condor (H): The Hegemony variant of the Condor sacrifices the stock model's Fast Missile Racks system to allow for Reserve Deployment, temporarily doubling the size of its fighter wings. The medium missile mount has also been converted into a composite mount.
Venture (A): Militarized for Hegemony auxiliary service, the Venture (A) sports a forward universal medium size turret. Its integrated mining pod drone bay has also been converted into an open hangar bay, allowing this aging missile cruiser to also serve as a light carrier.

Shepherd (A): The Ko Combine r450 "Shepherd" has been outfitted for Hegemony auxiliary service with militarized subsystems, giving Hegemony fleets additional drone and salvage support.
Mudskipper (A): This upgraded variant of the MGA-220 Pegasus-class "Mudskipper" civilian transport features militarized subsystems and its engine has been retrofitted with a Burn Drive system, allowing it to safely evacuate personnel from a battlezone.
Valkyrie (H): This troop transport has been repainted in Hegemony colors and its twin forward small energy mounts have been upgraded to hybrid mounts, allowing it to fit ballistic weaponry for self-defense and for surface assaults.
Colossus (A): The venerable Colossus freighter has been given militarized subsystems and a new paintjob in preparation for Auxiliary service.
Colossus Mk.III (H): Following encounters with Tri-Tachyon's infamous Phantom phase transports during the Second AI War, the Hegemony Navy looked to acquire its own dedicated planetary assault ship and ultimately found inspiration in the form of the notorious "Colossus Mk.III" pirate retrofit of the Colossus heavy freighter. This militarized retrofit of the Colossus lacks the pirate variant's excessive armament, but has been fitted with upgraded hangar bays and advanced ground support weaponry for surface assaults. Marines and crew do however often complain about the incredibly lacking accommodations of the cramped crew decks...
Changelog:v1.3 9/24/2023 - Added the Valkyrie (H) and the Colossus Mk.III (H). The Mudskipper (A) lost its ground support hullmod, as the Valkyrie (H) now fulfills the role of dedicated troop transport. The old Colossus Mk.III has been converted into the Colossus (A), a dedicated freighter. A partial patch for
Iron Shell (0.96 compatible version of Iron Shell available on the Unofficial Starsector Chat Discord) has been added, allowing the Iron Shell to use some of the new vessels. The Mule (A) received a small OP nerf, the Condor (H) received a second variant, and all variant files received a balance patch to hopefully make them more effective and less likely to default to going over their OP limits.
NOTE: This update is NOT savefile compatible with v1.2b or lower.v1.2b 9/10/2023 - Tweaked the Condor (H) skin with edits directly taken from
King Alfonzo's HMI Brighton Federation mod - the original skin is still available in the files for those who prefer it.
v1.2a 9/8/2023 - Tweaked the Shepherd (A) skin with edits directly taken from
PCCL's Hegemony Expeditionary Auxiliary Fleet mod - the original skin is still available in the files for those who prefer it. Also tweaked the default ship roles and Hegemony faction files to, once again, make the Shepherd (A) spawn properly in Hegemony fleets.
v1.2 9/8/2023 - Added the Shepherd (A) and tweaked the default_ship_roles so that Hegemony fleets should be significantly less likely to use Mule (A) as the flagship of small patrols.
v1.1b 9/6/2023 - Fixed the Condor (H) never spawning in Hegemony fleets or markets, big thanks to Skylord Zero and Derelict_Surveyor for pointing out the fix!
v1.1a 9/6/2023 - Was reminded that the Hound (A) gets built-in Armored Weapon Mounts to make up for not being a Civilian-grade hull and thus not having Militarized Subsystems; gave the Mule (A) its own Armored Weapon Mounts built-in hullmod back. Fixed the Colossus Mk.III (H) never spawning in Hegemony fleets or markets.
Known Issue: The Condor (H) does not seem to spawn in any Hegemony fleets or markets. (Fixed in v1.1b)
v1.1 9/2/2023 - Removed built-in Armored Weapon Mounts from the Mule (A) and made the Colossus Mk.III (H) a rare blueprint rather than part of the Hegemony Auxiliary blueprint package, as having a ship with Advanced Ground Support hullmod available from such a common blueprint package was somewhat OP.
