i've recently started a new heavily modded run.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/r45pnbsshvkt8p9/starsector_mods.png?dl=0but i think this is a vanilla mechanic where faction relationships are in a state of constant flux. so right now i'm commissioned by dassault-mikoyan and every now and then events pop up that reduce my hard earned faction reputations.
will this also happen for my own faction once i eventually resign my commission. something like "diplomat criminal ring" or something and suddenly i lose 10+ rep?
because while i enjoy a "living" sector i dislike that i can loose my hard earned progress in having factions like me.
