Hey I'm getting a CTD from a NullPointerException that has to do with SoftDerelictContingentPersonal.java. I'm assuming its a mod incompatibility with your mod. Here's the log:

Fixing this, but when is this crash occuring? Hypothetically it should only occur when Derelict Contingent exists on an officer who isn't an AI core (which doesn't/shouldn't happen in SotF)

It's happened 3 times over the course of a week and I'm blanking on whether or not the crash happened when pressing "engage battle" to start a fight or if the crashes happened when reaching an ai fleet to interact with it. It doesn't happen every time, and I've had the same officers for a while now, probably since the first few hours of this save. This has all happened on the same save. Thanks for the reply!

This is something that just happens in general when updating mods. Always assume your save will not be able to load.

did you update from 1.3.X or 1.4.0? 1.4.0 to 1.4.1 should work, as its worked perfectly fine for me. But 1.3.X isnt save compatible with 1.4.X unfortunately

It was 1.4.0 to 1.4.1...
only thing I likely did differently then you was changing the portrait for sierra... That couldn't have caused an issue right? I mean its just a png swap, I never changed the names of any of the files(copied the names over) To clarify this was before the update, The modification was working fine(Till i tried to update)

It was 1.4.0 to 1.4.1...
only thing I likely did differently then you was changing the portrait for sierra... That couldn't have caused an issue right? I mean its just a png swap, I never changed the names of any of the files(copied the names over) To clarify this was before the update, The modification was working fine(Till i tried to update)
0.14's beta release is not save-compatible with the full release, which I assume is the issue at hand.

You're a legend. I've been attempting to try and fix these mods myself with IntelliJ and boy is it tough not knowing Java. Do you recommend any guides to get started learning Starsector Modding with Java?

I'll try to avoid spoilers, because the spoilers text tool comes out wonky.

I've found a quest bug, where I found the ship from "A lost thread" by accident while doing my explorations. Later because another mission spawned in the system, I traveled there and I noticed the greenish light this time.

Interacting with it gave me the mission "A lost thread", but I already have the the thing and the quest is stuck now.

"A lost thread" is the E-war destroyer, isnt it? Which is unrelated to "A promise" which gets you the phase destroyer.
I wasnt aware there was a quest for lost thread, i remember just either finding them out in the sector, or taking the unique start.
