wolf is great for the pursuit phase. coming in from the side and stuff. as far as vanilla upgrades i always graduated to the pirate version of the shrike

i've gone full mod mode so there's the "direwolf"...but, still, i always liked the shrike because it felt like it fit into the role i used the wolf for as far as main line combat.

one has to back out of the wolf phase and go centurions for main line combat once you start tackling bigger foes...wolfs just pop too easy to 'alpha'
