Anyone tried safety override carriers?

The ideas is to make carriers go fast, so that they can more easily evade warships, but at the same time they’d stay at range, so that the peak performance never ticks down, nullifying the primary disadvantage of safety override.

I tried this but the AI didn’t stay far enough away to keep peak performance from ticking, maybe timid officers will do? Might have to do some saved file editing cuz I only have steady officers right now.

As far as I remember, CR ticks regardless of distance to enemies while fighters are recovering.

This used to be a thing. It was nerfed in some capacity. I believe fighters being engaged now always deplete CR?

SS strictly inferior for most carriers, as long as you can't use double flux to fire weapons at enemy, SS is waste.

Nah, I put Safety override on a Harbinger to make it go faster.

And converted hangar as harbinger is not carrier as far as i remember?

Can't put Converted Hangar on a phase ship - phase field hullmod prevents this from being done.
