Custom System Names- Nex
« on: February 02, 2019, 07:36:03 AM »

I’ve been wanting to edit a list of custom system names of my own for New Sector Generation in Nex.  Does anyone know where I can find the file in that contains the list of possible system names?

I use the Nexelin mod, I’m not sure if it stored in there or somewhere in the core data files.

Appreciate any guidance.

Planet/star/constellation and special terrain names are stored in data/campaign/procgen/name_gen_data.csv. The base game has a file (in starsector-core on Windows); mods (possibly only Nexerelin though) may extend this with their name gen files in the same path. You can make your own mod and include a name gen file with your own names to use them during sector generation.

I extend the namelist considerably in DME. No issues noted with it so far (then again, I'm not sure how many people even notice that I add names, which is the point).
