The ship refit screen could use a small expansion smilar to the custom production/doctrine screen. The production screen has option to manage large numbers of blueprints (esp. with mods). The refit screen does not. A couple of filter options like the one from the production screen would be very useful.
Tech group: just like production, to be able to filter faction-specific weapons would really cut down time wasted on scrolling.
Damage type: when fitting a weapon I would usually already have and idea what I want to do with it, so a damage type filter would again cut down on time waste.
Other useful filters could be beam/non beam, range, flux/sec, minimum single shot damage...
