Hi, I'm a fairly new player and found the Nirvana class capital ship by accident. I didn't realize it's strength, and it has trivialized combat for me. I just have to say it feels like terrible balance, it's completely overpowered and balancing by supply cost seems super lame. Does this mod take balancing into account?
I also recently got the Nirvana, but whats actually so good about it? I think its not better than other high DP ships. Or is there anything Im missing?
Also whats with the VOIDCHILD officer? Its level 3, does not appear to be getting any XP? Is that how its supposed to be?
The ship system resets everything about it to what it was when the system was activated. so you can have an empty flux bar, engage an enemy capital and dump all your flux and missiles into while taking whatever damage, reset back to start and do it again. In a way, you are piloting two capitals at once. Plus, it's got pretty good flux dissipation and mounts, and the fighters are mean.
All lostech ships get voidchild officers if you don't assign them an officer manually.

At this point, I give up on solving this issue. (And yes, I downloaded 1.3 and got rid of the old file. And yet, I still get the same problem.)

Maybe you have starsector installed in more than one location and you're changing the wrong files?

Nope. Only have one game file for Star Sector.

Edit: Ok. Now it works because I downloaded a different file of the same version (1.3). Like, wtf? lol (Incase you are wondering what I did, I also emptied my recycle bin. lol)

No, it will put onions on your eyes while you sleep

The engine trails for piloting Legio ships is still weird.  The trail only shows when you are thrusting forward, disappears on other directions, and reappears if you resume forward thrust as if it had been active the entire time.  Weird to see the trail just appear from nowhere.

The trails are vanilla, so you might want to direct that at Alex

I would be forever grateful if you could add a variant of the regalia without any built in weapons, not regular turrets. Been banging my head on a wall trying to do it myself, but I just can't seem to grasp how hulls and weapons interact in SS.  :o

Does the rosenritter blueprints thing work with the second in command mod? If not can are there any console commands to get the blueprints and taumantzer?

Whaddya mean? You get the blueprints from finding and keeping the big capital sized carrier in your fleet for a long time (mothballed or otherwise). SiC doesn't interfere with this in any way as far as I can tell - I've unlocked plenty of blueprints with both enabled.

almost certainly not going to happen, since they were designed from the ground up to revolve around their preset loadouts
