Not in vanilla. There was a mod for recoverable Remnant though.

All remnant and domain probe ships have the "Automated ship" hidden hull mod, which means that the ship can't have and doesn't require crew and also cannot be recovered in combat.

Spoiler
You can retrieve a blueprint to build them though

Where did you get that information from? As far as I'm aware, that's not true.

Even if yes, how would I be able do it? Drop from redacted base?

*mod idea*

After some searching it was a mod :-[ which is a shame because having REDACTED ships as an ultra-rare blueprint drop in vanilla seemed like a cool and flavorful addition. Oh well.

I honestly think it would only make sense to have it as a feature. After all, we can already use redacted fighters, since their LPCs drop, so why not ship blueprints?

That would be a nice reward for killing a Nexus.  Currently, it is a better idea to leave them alone so they can produce more fleets, which means more chips and cores.

The reason you can't recover remnant/derelict ships is because they have the UNBOARDABLE tag in the ship_data file, all you have to do is remove it.

I agree that having blueprints drop from a nexus would be neat!

And it needs to be blueprints I cannot get from exploring or raiding other factions' industries.  I would like to get the blueprints for Remnant fighters.  (Bigger ships may ask for too much.)

Blueprints as a reward really seems to be a good direction for gameplay flow. Either just to get cool ships to play with, rarer hulls that can't be bought (Maybe even remove the ability to purchase battleships from factions and make them salvage/manufacture only), or to build up your own faction fleets and start doing conquer the galaxy business.

Even with blueprint reward idea, some people may still want to keep one nexus alive for fleet and core farming (if they abuse cores for their colonies), and if several nexus spawn in the game, then player can get everything.  However, it would be nice if there was incentive for killing a nexus aside from random Terran planet with everything that happens to spawn there.

Fighter LPCs are recoverable, since they are basically carrier weapons. Actual Remnant ships can't be obtained yet.
