[0.9a RC10] AI firing anti-ship missiles at strike craft.
« on: December 01, 2018, 07:18:11 PM »

This is something I have seen enough times to be convinced its a actual AI bug. AI will shoot harpoons and other missiles completely unsuited for hitting strike craft at said strike craft often and will do so even if there is a actual ship they can target instead. This may effect Piranhas since I was toying with a modded ship in the simulator that is essentially a scaled up piranha and they were trying to bomb strike craft rather then the carrier they had closed in on. I have not tested Piranhas against strike craft that hover around the parent ship like the ventures mining pods specifically.

Yep, still happens. It was actually a common sight in the previous version. I was kinda hoping for it to be fixed by the time 0.9 rolls out, but unfortunately AI throwing Harpoons and Sabots at Claws is still commonplace.
