Playing at a lower resolution causes UI scaling issues
« on: September 27, 2017, 03:25:01 PM »

I'm trying to play on 1600x900 because the text is too small in 1980x1080, however there's a half inch of display that's missing all around the edge. I've trying playing with scaling settings in my video card as well as in the properties of the executable, but to no avail.

Windows 10
ATI Radeon 380

Sorry about the trouble! Hmm - some googling (for "ATI fill entire screen" and similar) points to this:

It's old, but possibly still relevant? Not entirely sure.

Yeah, overscan.

The thing is, it's already set so that everything else has the right aspect ratio. If I mess with it for Starsector, it will create another problem.

I'll try it anyway.

Thanks for giving it a shot. Not sure what's going on, haven't heard about this sort of thing before. Possibly that's just how the drivers do fullscreen at that resolution? I mean, that sounds kind of weird, but unless there's another CCC setting to control this, that seems to be what we're left with.
