It's happened 3 times now after countless hours of play, so its quite rare..

But sometimes the buttons on the after battle report (the one where you can board and scrap) become unclickable, the window becomes unscrollable.

Can't click any buttons.
Can't scroll through your fleet or the enemy fleet.
Esc doesn't seem to work.

Only seems to happened on the really big fights.

This time I had a Hyperion, Paragon, Odessey, Dragoon, Owl, Medusa, Carrier and 5 wings of Thunder thingies.

I remember this happening with Vanilla as well so I doubt it's to do with any of the mods.

Luckily I saved not too long ago, as far as I know the only solution is Alt-F4

Enemy was a Tritach supply fleet at about half size. bunch of medusas and a Aurura, then just fighters/bombers..

Update:

Apparently it solved itself for me this time, I left it running while I ate lunch, perhaps it just takes awhile to load for whatever reason?

Also, tried to Right click scroll just now, thats when i noticed it stopped not working, so there might be a connection there..

I will update this topic next time it happeneds and I right click scroll right away, see if that works.

This appears to have happened to me just now, I did nothing special just won the battle in campaign and when I went to click "scrap" it did not register, and nothing else was responding either.. I waited for a little while but lacked the patience of OP, so I killed the app with the task manager.

Adding link to log for future reference, if it contains anything to hint at this behavior I have no idea. First time this has happened though so it seems very rare.

Did you try to right click scroll the ship list? thats how I discovered it was working again, but I have no idea if it was because i right clicked, or because I waited..

Yup, I clicked all over the place, tried to scroll, only with mouse wheel though. The UI was frozen, but I had saved before the battle so it was no big deal. And if it does indeed come alive on it's own after a while (longer than I waited) I guess there needs to only be some tweak'n and it's not some fatal error at least

Next time it happends try right clicking in the fleet window thingy, see if that helps..

Like i said, it might be completely unrelated, but its worth a shot, and could be a viable workaround till it gets fixed

i got this once when i was in my map giving orders when the battle ended, clicking ( as if to cancel the order) then pressing tab  ( to exit the map) caused the game to work again not sure if that's even related or it just loaded strangely.
