Unless we don't want such large systems to exist at all (to prevent excessive travel times etc.), the UI grid should probably just expand to cover all entities in the system.

the grid should be infinite, and if a player flies long enough in the right direction with game speed turned up high enough they can real-space travel to a neighboring starsystem
