Again, this is another thing that would be pretty handy for mod authors, though the ship list for vanilla is slowly growing as well.

Would be helpful. Perhaps also a way to sort weapons by tags like "PD" or "Guided".

I'm under the impression that the Codex is already on the list for an overhaul, but it hasn't been a priority in the recent releases. Expect to see it re-imagined in coming releases.
