What are some of the best planet types to survey?

In my experience, arid and terran worlds are almost always class 4 or 5. Other classes are very much more random. Tundra is usually pretty good, desert also seems to usually be class 2 or 3 at least. Gas giants are not really worth the supplies usually until late game when you might have the skills/hull mods to make it cost effective.

I've found Volcanic worlds are almost always either class IV or class V. Very hazardous, but very valuable.

Yeah just now I found a system with 4 volcanic worlds and they were 3 class IV and one class V, easily worth 500k. I just throw surveying equipment on every non-combat ship in my fleet and essentially every plant only costs 5 supplies to survey. Amazing way to make money.
