So I am at the point where I quite literally have 2 paragons (found them abandoned) an Astral (which I bought) and 4 XIV Onslaughts which sit in storage. Yet I have not found a single Atlas or Prometheus for sale at a starbase. I have come across a single transport fleet as of yet with an Atlas and Prometheus in it which I was sadly, unable to salvage .

Question being, where in the hell do I get these two ships?

If only >_>. All I see in Tri-Tach markets are Astrals and Paragons rofl.

I salvaged one, drained the fuel and sent it into a star

I think you just have bad luck my friend. They're pretty damn common, on both the open and black markets, being civilian ships. I see them everywhere in my saves.

Also semi off topic, what have you all been using for carrier commands and officers. If I tell them to escort me they just put their wings around my ship and never engage, yet if I tell them to engage even with cautious officers they will just suicide in like idiots.

I have noticed this as well. My shepherds keep closing to point blank and shooting with their LMGs when set to engage.

I've never had much luck with Light Machine Guns on a Shepherd.  It's Borer Drones can only wander 2000 range away so I find they're usually close enough to provide missile coverage.  Unless I'm really trying to outrun them because they are soo slow

Huge behavioural differences between the Engage & Eliminate fleet commands.  A Shepherd with any kind of missile or with a railgun set to Engage is fairly flightly, which is probably correct for something with a civilian hull


Atlas & Prometheus are fairly common but only in the bigger markets, as with any capital ships.  Go into the Map (tab) -> Sector view (q) and mouse over the known stars.  Any market you're aware of will show up, with data on who runs it and critically, what size that market is
