Making rare finds more relevant
« on: April 25, 2017, 02:43:24 PM »

I found it a great move to make AI Cores sellable in their own special screen to faction leaders. Why not do the same for high ranking survey data? It seems natural. Allow players to sell survey data on useful worlds to their faction of choice. And AI Cores + Rich, untapped worlds = remote outposts to expand your influence and that of your faction! It seems so natural to me i expected it to be a planned feature, but there would be no reason to give AI Cores their own little trading screen while leaving the survey data out if that was the case...

It's because survey data as a whole is a placeholder and will be removed eventually. The ultimate purpose of surveying is to find planets suitable for your own use by setting up an outpost there. Since we don't have outposts yet, for now it just gives you cash tokens.
