Something that has never happened with my Starsector in amplified cases happened today, not once, but twice.

I crashed, but it wasn't a crash to desktop.

It gave me a BSOD twice in a row, probably will even do it a third time...

Still loves purple. Still not skilled enough to make a mod that doesn't get that one damn error.

Can you give us some more info on what happened? What were you doing? Is there an error at the end of the log? What spec does your system have?

I was in the middle of saving when the BSOD happened.

The only thing displayed in the error log was

10746874 [Thread-19] INFO  com.fs.starfarer.campaign.save.CampaignGameManager  - Saving progress: 0.81304276
10746890 [Thread-19] INFO  com.fs.starfarer.campaign.save.Ca

As for the system specs (if i'm correct)

8GB of Ram, AMD FX4300 Processor
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 950
Gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 (Motherboard)

Is that the information required?

A BSOD points to a system issue, most likely. Either OS-level corruption (e.g. a bad driver) or dodgy RAM or something like that.

Yeah, I'd start backing up anything and everything that is important

So, after a few days, i've mostly figured this only happens, during saving/loading on Starsector.

Which means it's either a memory problem, or it's to do with the save/load of the game.

I am also playing (and attempting to play) on the hotfixed version.

Some *** about a memory dump, don''t know if the Blue Screen allows me to screenshot, since I also don't have an external camera other than my phone, but i'd literally need to have that at the ready

You know, that's a good idea.
