Thought I'd make my own thread for crashes, instead of posting individual topics and making the place look untidy lol.

It's more to find out what is causing them and to learn about how things work a little. I'm gaining some interest in the possibility of attempting to build a faction some time in the future. Plus, it doesn't hurt to learn a little from time-to-time.

No worries :)

I *think* the crash is due to a mod setting the max officer level above 36. If it gets above that, there aren't any more skills to pick and things crash. Could be wrong about the exact number, though, just what I remember seeing elsewhere on the forum.

Ah, that makes sense with the unknowns it was showing.

That would most likely be my own fault. I was dabbling with some settings (as you do) and altered the core settings.json, increasing the overall cap to 50.

Now at least I know there is a limit. Learn by mistakes, right?

I'll put it to 30 and start a new game to make sure.
