Is there a guide somewhere on how to change the chatter profile for already generated officers and the like? I figured out how to add my own unique portraits so I could add in the portrait art from my friends to add them to my game as officers, now I just gotta figure out how to change their chatter so that they can have the unique dialogue to go along with it.

Got the custom profiles and everything, just need to tie the officers to them..

Is there another token that could be used in a similar manner as $playerHonorific, but for boss fleets/captains? Could do with streamlining one or two characters if that's the case.

So one of the mods I installed lets you pick a buddy captain as a start option, You also get to pick their personality type with this mods combat chatter. Saw some fun options! But im here specially to request Yelena belova from Black widow! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xse0YU1nwk Specifically would love that "whoa... This would be a cool way to die" line, especially as I would make her a reckless pilot!~ xD

Hmm not a work I'm familiar with, but it's pretty easy to make your own character (can work off the existing files in data/config/chatter/) :)

So I was inspired to expand on the Professional character, at least the first one. When I think "professional", I think military, and one thing I felt was missing from this character was the vernacular and concepts used by actual navies today. So (with a bit of help from a chatbot) I took some time to add more lines, give it an authentic military feel. I hope you guys like it!

Kinda wonder if there's any interest in branching lines, such as "This looks like a good idea!" for the engage line leading to either "I'm a genius!" on killing a target or "This was not a good idea!" on taking damage.

Like a 1 prime leading to lines marked 1.  If you want further branching, you have to mark the line with another prime like 2 prime

Multiple 1s in a category of responses means they have a split chance of firing on an event.  Though you may want to add some way weighing certain lines as more likely...

Hmm the current chatter plugin doesn't have memory of previous events that would be required for this to work, and most of the characters aren't written with it in mind. Interesting project (for someone else) though!

There's no Chatter-related crash message (or indeed any crash message) in this log.

If it's a hang, consider a debugger to find the cause. Although I suspect it's actually this issue, for which the only option is to increase/decrease RAM allocation or turn off music.

This has been one of my favorite mods since the first time I tried it. I had misread the description and thought the chatter was only random lines and when I realized the chatter actually relayed tactical information I was extremely impressed. This mod alone does more to enhance the immersion than any mod I think I have found. It's so easy to imagine being on the bridge of a ship reading comm chatter while giving orders. I very much enjoy this mod and appreciate you doing what must have been a fair bit of work to make it happen.

Something I just noticed, if I have enemy chatter turned on, sometimes the enemies will refer to me as if I was their ally, I feel like they should refer to other captains within their fleet.

1) Few file still have "Sir", instead of $playerHonorific.

2) I play at 3840x2160 at 200% scaling. And the portraits in the chapter box are misaligned (Works ok at 100%).
But the change-log and some comments say it was fixed.
So is it on my end, or the issue still remains?

(sorry for late reply, been busy/away the past weekend)

Alignment might have been re-broken at some point (found it in my own test just now), I'll investigate. Will also look at the honorifics, though I might leave some sirs in for specific characters.

See if this .jar fixes the portrait alignment (place in Combat Chatter/jars).
