Are these weapons counted as enery weapon exclusively? or hybrid ones can get ballistic bonus and synergy ones can get missle bonus?
The weapons say whether they "count as X for modifiers" in their descriptions. Hybrid weapons also always benefit from both ballistic rangefinder and bolt coherer.

Thank you! 700 range Minipulser is nice, but ships with ballistic slot already have better option. 700 or 800 range Cryoblaster, on the other hand, might open some interesting option alongside ballistic weapons.

Rangefinder gives double bonus to hybrid weapons so minipulser would go to 700 or 900 range. Might be interesting on falcon or eagle (ironically, not LG version since they don't have ballistic slots) where it can get 700 range kinetic in the small energies. Executor would have 800 range thanks to bolt coheror.

Aurora probably. You have two other mediums + missiles + all those forward smalls and a ton of flux dissipation. All sorts of loadouts you can do. Just have shield dps (sabots, pulse laser, even ir pulse), armor bust (heavy blaster, mining blaster, or amb, maybe reapers), and finish them with cryo.

What if I use Eagle XIV, and then combo it with Kinetics? Blast open the shield with heavy needler, phase lance, cyroblast.

I guess it'd work but you'd already have 2-3 phase lances, not really a need for cryo. Also pretty OP starved before smods, can't afford caps (kind of important when running so hot and close range), can't afford missiles. You either have to lose a needler to put cryo up front or deal with really short range cryo on a somewhat slow ship.
