Ship quality not increasing at colonies

I have an orbital works with a corrupted nanoforge installed but the industry does not seem to be providing any ship quality bonuses whatsoever. I thought just having an orbital works + a corrupted nanoforge would give a +40% to ship quality?

I'm running a couple of faction mods but none of them should affect industry/colonies afaik.

I figured out the issue - I have a heavy industry on a larger (size 6) colony but no forge installed as I didn't want the pollution. Apparently this overrides the orbital works+corrupted nanoforge I have on a size 3 colony. Is this intended behaviour or a bug?

When I removed the heavy industry from the size 6 colony, the ship quality started registering the +40% increase straight away.

... Interesting. I suppose the largest colony overrides? Or maybe it's just that industry. Regardless, thank you for digging into this and found the parameters of the issue.

I've got it logged now to get looked into,!

Yep, this is intended - the largest source of ship production determines ship quality.

Okay, so how about not registering ANY ship quality bonuses AT ALL then?
I have 2 orbital works in the same system. 1 with pristine nano forge and alpha core, the other with a corrupted nano forge. There are no (aka NONE) bonuses listed for ship quality. Both of them are missing
