Hi all,

I added this mod to a late-game Nexerelin playthrough, and my ships are now struggling to defeat enemy ships—it takes significantly longer than before. Does anyone know what might be causing this? Could the mod be introducing hidden changes, like increased difficulty, tougher AI shields or hulls, or reduced weapon effectiveness?

What do you mean? Are you like struggling to beat a diable fleet? Then it’s prob a case of your fleet or ships aren’t fitted to handled loads of missiles and strong fighters or keep up with diable’s speed

Or you added a bunch of mods midsave like exotica or ruthless sector or whatever that generally make fleets you fight tougher for increased challenge

Otherwise, this mod doesn’t do any hidden changes like that

Make sure you are on the latest version or redownload, the hullmod shouldnt be missing

Make sure you are on the latest version or redownload, the hullmod shouldnt be missing

I'm using version 2.9.2c, the one that downloads from the Forum Page. I change the game version number in the mod_info.

Make sure you are on the latest version or redownload, the hullmod shouldnt be missing

It's fixed, It seemed to have been caused by a mod collision with DABBLED avionics.

New Ship: Chinook (P)
Made changes to Evasion maneuvers to improve it
Buffed the pirate diable ships a bit
-Stratus and Rime P got +10 OP
-both a bit of flux diss buff and some other small improvements
New magicbounty for you to fight (Be sure to read the description of the bounty)
Magic paintjobs has been added to the mod:

Fixed typo in nex starts that stopped the virt start from showing up (Will show up once more)

Same issue here. Tried to work around by pasting the standard graphics files into the twilightsworn folder. That helped for the "hoar", but the issue also applies to the "strife".

Pasting both set of files, is a suitable workaround and "fixes" the issue.

Removing twilightsworn hoar and strife lines in magic_paintjobs.csv in data/config/paintjobs will fix the issue. For anyone lazy I post the attachment below. Just replace files in data/config/paintjobs folder.

Thanks for the update! One change not mentioned in the notes I found was that Ravens got a pretty massive nerf in every direction:

Ravens themselves:
  • OP: 26->30
  • Hull: 2000  -> 1500
  • Armor: 225->175
  • Flux diss: 250->200
Raven weapons:
  • Glowtusk:
    • dmg/shot: 500->250
    • chargedown: 2.5->3 (aka refire delay)
  • Grave HMC:
    • dmg/shot: 64->45
    • chargedown: 0.2->1
While Ravens needed a big nerf, they were very much better than all the other wanzers in basically every way, I do think they're not at all worth 30OP now. That seems to be on the harsh end when they're now much more comparable with the options in the 16/18 OP range.

Edit:
For anyone else curious, the other weapon/wanzer changes:
  • Zephyr
    • Hull: 1500->1700
  • Banish torps:
    • 1500->2000 dmg

I messaged the dev about this as well. The Avalanche is better than the Raven now in almost every single aspect, and it some areas by a lot. The Raven nerf is so extreme I thought it was a bug.
