Recording games/battles
« on: September 28, 2023, 09:24:06 PM »

So what do you all use to record your games or battles? I've thought about dipping my proverbial toe into recording and posting videos. I don't do much else with my youtube channel these days.

I may eventually want to add commentary, so software recommendations that considers that as well? Or is there enough built into Windows (11) that I don't need anything else?

If you have an NVidia graphics card you should have Shadowplay. Probably doesn't have as much as options as dedicated capture software but this one is free and already comes with your graphics card installed unless you have AMD or Intel.

This machine doesn't even have a graphics card. It's a basic business machine. I'll have a real gaming machine in the next year or so, but I haven't started seriously shopping around yet.

I use OBS-Studio. It's free and uses low resources. The quality is good.
