I know this mod is considered defunct, but just initially launching a .98 game, it doesn't seem like I can quickly at a glance tell what mod a ship/weapon/etc comes from without having to open the Codex, and I'd rather it just say in the description... so guess I'll be seeing if it still works.

I agree with this statement. As nice as the new feature is for 0.98, having to constantly open the Codex and then try to remember what weapon/ship/fighter comes from which mod can get confusing fairly quickly. Being able to tell just by a quick glance at the item's description was much better.

I believe you should continue it.
The Vanilla doesn't show proper clear indicate for us to understand easily.

I absolutely agree. The base-game implementation is okay, but I'd much rather see at a glance what mod a ship is from. The base game version is a seperate button press, then I have to look for a specific tiny symbol, then mouse over it.

WhichMod's implementation was/is simpler, faster, and far more effective.

Regarding everyone asking for this to be maintained again: it should still work with just changing the required starsector version in mod_info.json. I have seen that Lucas (of Random Assortment of Things and Second in Command) is working on a much fancier UI-integrated version of this, so I still will not be maintaining it.
