May I please propose the MAC damages to be increased to ~5k while boosting Each ships armor by +500?

The Mac at the moment is so weak Putting buffing it to 5k was the only way I could make the ships feel any sense of usefulness

The ships themselves are too squishy too combined with the fact that they have so little weapon mounts boosting their armor was the only way to make them viable.

These buffing combo's doesn't even make them OP either, they still require escorts and can easily be overrun and defeated unless constantly kept an eye on.

I'd just like to see the ships shown more love as they're more like a pushover than anything else
yes we would like that but... .
these ships are meant to BE IN a strike force or aplha striking (sorry for bad english)

took a bit of work, some testing is required.

I've altered the mac cannon damage levels to be more appropriate. after testing the current levels i agree it was too low. I've changed it to have a bit more impact while still trying to maintain balance. the lower tier macs light the superlight mac haven't had much done since their focus is pressure, the much larger macs feel way more impactful. The infinity's mac does 10k damage but i felt that was appropriate being an end game super capital. i've also altered some of the tags for the UNSC weapons to make their own stuff appear a bit more frequently, it's not perfect but i don't yet have the skills to program a forced appearance of their own tech.

neatly packaged and named so you can test and install easy.

Decided to try your version with a couple tweaks of my own, I boosted the range of standard and light MACs to 5k, heavy and larger MACs to 7.5k, the Breakwater coilgun to 5k, and the UNSC PD weapons by 1k. Seems to work fine so far both in functionality and balance, only two issues, one I've had since the first 0.96 version of this mod I used: Many ships feel like they dont have enough ordinance points, I can't even give my Paris class frigates fighters because they are all being used for the weapons, hullmods, and flux management. The other issue is that Im seeing almost no weapons available at UNSC markets, and almost all of them are vanilla weapons instead of UNSC weapons outside of the military market, which isn't very well stocked.

Addition just after posting: Forgot to add that Im using it in 0.97 by changing the version in the mod info file

First issue I've encountered with my substantial range adjustment to the MACs, my Vindication class ship has run into the bug where ships with excessive range sit in the middle of the map sniping rather than moving around. Will do tests to see what range will work with the built-in hull mods and add the results to this post.

5k test: failed | 2.5k test: passed
Alternate solution(removal of supercomputer hullmod) test: passed

As far as I can tell the home systems mod took stuff from this mod and added a bit onto it but also removed some stuff. I believe some fighters are missing from the thread but and the home systems author mightve done his own thing with weapons stats and whatnot. But theyre similar for sure and the home systems guy straight up says he used sprites and whatnot from this mod so theyll definitely look similar

Yup, all you have to do is change the game version in the mod files, dont know if it works in 0.98 though, haven't tested that
