Is it just me, or did the hyperion get nerfed?
It seems to overload & blow up much more easily than before *cough bismar cough*

Meanwhile, in that mission, I can pretty much take one of the tempests and nibble away at the onslaught's butt in safety until it blows up.

You can do what the title of this topic says. And your 'fleet' will travel stupidly fast too.

To get infinite money, do the following:

1new game
2sell ship
3pick a fight, autolose
4get free replacement ship
5if you want more money: goto 2; else: have fun with your boatloads of cash!

Nvmd, found it caps at roughtly 20000, +- if you play your cards just right.

1090T @ 4Ghz, 2x460GTX in sli, 16GB of ram @1600Mhz. This shouldn't be happening.

How to reproduce: Make paragon w/ 4x tachyon lancers
Find target near edge of radius
Turn on the targeting rings
Watch as FPS drops dramatically (went down to 40% on my system)

It should probably say fire support, not close support.

The targeting range thing which is absurdly useful for the tachyon beams keeps disappearing even though I never pressed the tilde key which is supposed to toggle it. It never turns itself on without permission though, so its not erroneous keystrokes.

I'm stuck in an infinite escape defend loop where I click 'escape' and then the enemy defends, and then it says that my fleet can avoid battle, but then when I click leave, it says that they maneuver to prevent escape and then it happens all over again.

I found that I could take on a single stock paragon (and a couple fighters) with a couple AM-blaster armed medusa and an apogee - only lost 10 regular crewmen on one medusa. Sadly it was too badly wrecked to capture :( - I did get a tachyon beam out of it though.

Though, this variant really wasn't designed to take on a few hightech ships carrying a total of 6 AM blasters and good shields; its beam weapons are for the most part utterly ineffectual against the raised shields of the apogee, and it has nothing in the front that can deal out heavy damage to the apogee, while the autopulse cannons are evaded by the medusa.

I found you can autoresolve a battle after taking severe hull damage and lose no crew as a result. You can even lose entire ships and still not lose any crew members if the battle is autoresolved.

In-battle, enemies are diamonds, friendlies are squares, and neutrals are circles. Think that can be applied to the main map as well? (since otherwise you have to hover over the target to see if its hostile or not)

according to the CSV file, it should not (and it makes perfect sense that it should not)

IE, in a test mission, I threw three right onto an eagle, and... firing them all at once did nothing but max out my flux and none of them fired even after a sufficient amount of flux had cleared: the firing sequence had completely aborted as opposed to having merely been delayed. Firing two at once worked, or just one at a time.

Suggestions / Tritachyon station

Would be nice to have a tritachyon station selling other things, and maybe an independent station selling some 'generic goods' very cheaply, which the other two stations will buy, possibly allowing for a more freighter-convoy style of play, at least for the time being while we have only a single system.

Probably going to try modding this in myself in a bit.

So it seems to be fixed? How is it? I can't seem to get the refit screen on any of the missions, and its rather expensive in the campaign, so I have yet to test it out.

*edit* just hacked it into one of my test missions, looks like its working, and rather powerful (mostly; seems I found a flux glitch)

I mean, literally, in binary (or hex) the thing is just 00000000000000000000000000000000000000... on and on and on. Not sure how or why it happened.

Incidentally, there was a BSOD a minute later, but that just was my derpy graphics beta drivers (which do that a lot, and was long enough after I saved that it shouldn't have caused the issue, but they are the only ones that support SLI on my cards properly to start with so.... yeah), and should not have been related.

Fortunately you have it keep backups of the save file as I discovered, which is very nice  ;D

I'll just edit in the 10000 creds and 2 ships I made since that save and will be off and conquering the system again.

Turns out the backups are corrupted too, also just a bunch of null charactes about 80% of the way in
