But it's just one person programing all that stuff... And you got free save slots (looking at METAL GEAR SURVIVE) with zero, EAlike, loot boxes. What i want to say: he is making it in his own pace, would most of us like it's done faster, most probably yes, but it's done as fast as it could be.


edit: and it's really close to be finished. When all that stuff get implemented my guess is that next version is 0.9 and after that is just one more 'till 1.0 (just my wild speculation here)

I have Java 8 installed in standard Program Files/Java dir. Anyway, after installing Starsector 0.8 and double-clicking on exe nothing happened. So i uninstalled Java 8 and installed Java 7 but still nothing (and when i say nothing i really mean nothing like i didnt do anything, nothing starts). So, i uninstalled Java 7 then installed Java 8 in Program Files/Java dir and then i installed Java 7 in Starsector/jre. Then it worked. There was more stuff that i did, like installing Java 7 in Program Files/Java and copying jre from there to Starsector dir but that didnt work too. Anyway, after instaling 0.8 hotfix i needed to reinstall Java 7 in Starsector dir cos it didnt work again. After reinstall it worked - worked as i got into game, first screen with options for New Game, Load, Exit etc.

Vacuum is an old Total Conversion done by Xenoargh here and all it was, was insane zero stacking, which broke SS.

As for the overheat - the graphics card had been doing nothing strenuous for the 4 hours before I shut down, just videos and browsing the web.  It had also performed flawlessly the past couple of months when I played The Witcher 3, BF1, Shadow of Mordor, and various other demanding games, tempterature didn't go above reasonable levels (around 70 C) even after playing those for hours on end.  Still no idea what to blame, or maybe it was just me not taking good enough care of it, since it was my first desktop.
Blame EVGA for not build-in thermal pads on VRM's on first place :D  So poor thing (VRM section) was going over 100C for months no wonder why it gave up. You didnt know that EVGA was sending free thermal pads and if you brake your card while putting them on they would send you new one?

And to be fair*, they should send you new MoBo too.


*unless something other (psu) didn't fry them.

Aha i see now. I misinterpreted your part abut obsoleting. At least this Ryzen hype is interesting and if performance leaks and price leaks are true or really close then this will be really good time for customers :D
