General Discussion / What the Buffalo?

Anyone else play with the buffalo at all as your lead ship? I wouldn't nearly NEVER use them in AI hands, haha, but I wanted to see if I could do anything with it myself.

I stuck aux thrusters and heavy bulkheads for hull mods with 3 vents, left the two vulcans and lr pd alone, stuck on an irpulse in the small energy hardpoint, left on the pilums, then put three swarmers in the three small missile slots.

It's pretty beasty. Obviously you need to be really selective about where you put yourself in battle, haha. But I was surprised that I survived the battle at all, haha. Anyone play with them more extensively?

Gotta ask. This little guy showed up in a blog post (the one with all the ships), but isn't in the current ship graphics directory. Is it an early prototype that didn't make the cut?  Will we see it's return?

Is the enforcer bugged? I keep getting attacked by really small pirate forces which I then proceed to crush with ridiculous firepower.

Just me in an enforcer. two flaks, two assualt chainguns, 1 heavy mg, 4 salamanders, expanded missiles, integrated targeting, augmented engines

Just wanted to point this stuff out to the uninitiated.

I am planning on stealing a bunch of fighters from here. Note that the license is very open as long as credit is given for the source.

Most of it is very shiny schmup style. But with minimal touch ups lots of it would look great in mods and stuff. (attached some samples)

Bug Reports & Support / Hound in refit screen, but not fleet tab

SO weird. I died, respawned with talons in my fleet still? But when I got to the hegemony station I had a hound and no talons, but it doesn't show up in the fleet screen, but it is there in the refit screen. ???  I also now bought talons which do show up in the fleet screen.

I'm starting a thread to give a shout out to the most understated ship in the known galaxy. The beautiful and scrappy hound. Man's best friend.  :)

It's great for taking down lashers with a railgun installed. It's super easy to take down the lone pirate hounds. It has hanger space for a wing of talons. It's the perfect starting ship if you ask me. Just have to pick your battles.

So if you capture a ship, it will often have missing/destroyed weapons, but if you just quicksave and quickload rapidly a couple times the weapons will magically appear back on the ship.

I assume this is a bug.

Suggestions / Autoresolve improvements

I love autoresolve, and usually it does what I want when engaging an obviously weaker force. But sometime it can't kill a much smaller force for anything when all I need to do is take command and throw down one or two defend commands...

So my suggestion is when you are going up against an obviously weaker for the autoresolve AI on your side should absolutely destroy anything it can. This is what appears to happen when you are the much smaller force.  X[

    This is me trying to do something significant with a game I love. But I'll be honest, I'm doing it mostly because the stuff I put in here is fun to me personally. So let me here it if you like any of it.  :D

Bug Reports & Support / Can't win wolf pack

I destroyed most of the ships. Maybe 5 or 6 freighters escaped and one more (frigate?)

But it's giving me 0%...  What am I doing wrong. Do I need to destroy more stuff? Or is this a legitimate bug? It seems like it to me, but I could just be screwing up.  :/

Is there any room for something like jamming the enemy radar? Sorta like EMP, but doesn't actually take the system down. Could reduce targeting/LOS/Radar.
