Random generated systems sometimes go too big, making some planets and stations out of the tab minimap.

Invading stations do generate respond fleet, but sometimes they escape from you if your ships are much superior than theirs and  you will be able to capture station without turning neutral faction to hostile since you didn't officially fire at them.

Do the fighters inherit anything from it's mothership? Like the officer skills and the hull mods.

Suggestions / Special hull mod for other vanilla factions?

Currently I am only seeing the XIV battle group as hull mod for hegemony.
Is there any planning of special forces for other factions, I wonder.

For instance, Tri-tachyon might have their own special force, let's name it 'Task Force XIX'.
With this hull mod, energy weapon got range and damage boost, but with less efficient shield and more supply cost.

These special forces should have characteristics corresponding to it's faction's style and can make the game a bit more fun for the fact that XIV ships can only be bought from hegemony military while you can get almost any other hull on black market.
By adding other factions' own special force, you might think twice before joining specific faction.

Were you using Starsector+?

Did the carrier have CR left?
No, but I was using nexerelin.

The carrier was destroyed, leaving only helpless retreated wings.

I found this happening when enemy have a good amount of fighters, and enemy owns carrier.
When an amount of them go into no-CR state?with few planes left and retreated?, you can only chose to engage or leave them be.
Leaving will make you unable to claim loots and capture enemy ship.
Re-engage will make enemy send nothing and you claim inatant victory and go back to first step.

This happened in an  IBB mission engage which I believe was from ship/weapon pack.

when you need a tug to make it 9 burn I'd take 2 buffalo instead ...
or just any 2 cruiser with like 400+ cargo space

there are only two "pure freight"in vanilla game atm: buffalo and atlas
However, Atlas as capital got only 6 burn on map which is quite annoying if you try to maintain burn 9 for swift operations. Buffalo got only 300 cargo space which I can just use some larger cruisers instead.
We got cruiser-class fuel ships and man ships, why can't we get a cruiser-class freight?
I'd say 8 burn and 600 to 700 cargo space is quite acceptable.

In fact there are already ships hiding in clouds from time to time
Got ambushed by some pirates sitting in clouds without moving
They only move and attack when you're too close to escape

It has been an issue for vanilla phase ships for me
The AI rush to fire their weapon once they get enemy back without considering the exploding damage.
Lost an Afflictor due to this, he fired the antimatter into an Enforcer and killed himself into the explosion.

Personally, i end up stuck in whatever I can find on the blackmarket for under 30k credits, unless I use consol commands. in which case I like flying an XIV fleet. or, more usually, cruising around in a solo XIV falcon/eagle, plowing into bigger and bigger groups of pirates till I die, then I hop in another ship, at random, outfit it, fly it till it breaks, and start anew.
More on-topic, I usually end up with a lasher, a Cerberus, and a hound or two, plus a Talon wing, with a few shuttle missile-boats.
For XIV fleets , join Hegemony and it has so-so chance to appear in military market.
If you get weapon/ship pack mod, you can even buy an XIV Conq if lucky.


Personally I like Afflictor as my flagship.
With the new features added last update, she's a total monster in player hands.
Other ships I tend to buy either "teleportable" ships(like medusa) or XIV ships.
Oh and also a lot of pirate buffalos  to make contraband trades.

How do you get through the Paragon's shields?
shield ? I don't see any  :-\
just press F : PD down , shield gone
the F skill force overloads a ship
making it super easy to kill ships heavily rely on PD and shield

found a better setup
2 annihilator+ 3 antimatter
use the annihilator to destroy all the armor
then use antimatter to deal damage on hull
you can't carry too many antimatter because it takes a hell lot of flux ...
the total (raw) damage of antimatter is significantly higher than annihilator
which F up ships that have lost armor in no time

Is it possible to buy top tier military ships/weapons from allied factions' military market?
I'm not quite seeing them as "alliance" if they aren't selling me any goods.
Also, it's odd claiming certain faction victorious than claiming entire alliance winning.

takes down all 4 battle capital ships SOLO no problem
